Finland is a country with thousands of lakes and island.
The Finnish landscape is predominantly flat with some low hills and hills.
In addition to the many lakes, the landscape is dominated by large expanses of boreal forest and little arable land.

The climate in southern Finland is temperate. In Northern Finland, and especially in the province of Lapland, it has a subarctic climate characterized by cold and occasionally severe winters and relatively warm summers.
